ONLAW Trial Technologies, LLC, is quite different from every other provider of legal technology services of which I am aware. Why? Bruce Olson, the founder of ONLAW Trial Technologies, has served as lead counsel on dozens of pieces of complex civil litigation. In the midst of working these cases, he repeatedly came up with creative ways to use technology to give his clients an advantage at all points from filing through trial.
Bruce isn’t simply familiar with electronic discovery … he’s managed the electronic discovery process on numerous cases. He’s not only familiar with real-time transcriptions of depositions … he’s used them repeatedly on actual cases. He’s not only familiar with courtroom presentation tools … he’s used them in trial any number of times.
Bruce is a creative thinker and problem solver. He’s an idea generator. Here’s an example that I feel demonstrates these traits: My company had developed two software tools for litigators … a product called CaseMap (that allows trial teams to organize and analyze the facts and other key information about a case) and a product called TimeMap (that makes it easy to develop timeline visuals of case facts for use as thinking aids and courtroom demonstratives). Bruce put these tools to work on his cases, but he also pointed out to us numerous important ways the tools could be improved. We implemented his ideas and both we and our clients were rewarded by the results of Bruce’s input.
A final comment. I tried to build my business, CaseSoft, not only on solid products but also on superb client support. I believe that excellent client service pays dividends many times over. I know Bruce lives by this creed also and have seen him in action providing incredibly prompt and detailed client follow up.
